I did a presentation of my research today and tried out 3D Body modelling with the class. Used the willow sticks and had people work individually, in groups of 2, then 4 then all twelve. I found an easy way of introducing the idea,  called it embodied visual modelling and let them go. Reminded them of front body, side body and back body. If the sticks were at higher plane, told them to reverse it, bring the sticks down low. When they were at stasis, told them to dissolve and move into a larger unit. Clay mentioned atom structures from Grade 12 Chemistry, thought about bound and unbound structures. HUGE theory potential, but the biggest thing by far is that people are in their bodies in the moment and it makes them happy to be moving and thinking.

I could bring in the the repeating distance work from Guy Cools too. The movement, voice, story, improvisation work. Have people talk about connections as they make connections. performative …
